COVID-19 Precautions
The safety of our patients and staff are the utmost priority as we continue to manage COVID-19.
- All providers are fully immunized against COVID-19.
- As per our policy, any sick team member who has a fever and cough is NOT allowed to come to work.
- All providers and team members will be wearing appropriate medical grade Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the entirety of the visit.
- When you call for an appointment, we will ask a series of screening questions to determine whether you or your child may have signs of COVID-19. If there are signs, you may be asked to wait in your car and a team member will assess the acuity of your child’s illness. At that time, they will determine if emergent care is needed or if it is safe to return home with supportive measures. The US Virgin Islands Department of Health will be contacted to provide further screening to determine if testing is appropriate.
- To reduce spread, all sick patients with respiratory symptoms (cough, runny nose, etc.) will be given a mask to wear upon arrival.
- We will continue to sanitize our exam room surfaces between each patient encounter with a high-grade disinfectant that kills the Coronavirus germs.
- We ask that you please consider not bringing other children or family members who are nonessential to office appointments, especially the elderly (60+) or those with chronic medical conditions.
- We ask that you keep children from eating in the office and exam rooms. The exception are infants who are nursing or formula feeding.
